Almost 27 eld ago, my "house of cards" started to fall, and similar to any incorrigible intoxicant/addict I started scrambling, on the watchman for ways in which to disentangle myself from the disaster thatability I named my existence. This occurrence was different; I was green and footsore of being indisposed and blear-eyed. This instance I appreciated at a weighty plane thatability I had to metamorphosis.

With the 12 Staircase of Alcoholicsability Anonymous, copious meetings (sometimes 3 per day), a sponsor, and the individuals who product it their enterprise to kill time immaculate and sober, I widely read a new way of alive natural life on LIFE'S lingo. I followed the "suggestions" of the System of rules. One of which was to insight a "higher command."

I was a "cradle Christian religion." At hand was no technique of inquisitory for a complex power in my religious heritage thatability I knew of. At hand was no SEARCHING, time period. One did not turn upside down. One believed minus examine. Growing up, I questionedability a lot and as a result, was chastened for my discourtesy. I believed in a "Creator" but had no presumption in incorporated religion, nor assurance in its natural worthy. Yet, intuitively I realised thatability I suffered from a scholarly life-force sickness, and knew open inside my centre thatability my seam beside a "power greater than myself" was stagnant intact, albeit weak and unaided.

AA has been evidenced to drudgery wherever otherwise programs do not, be theyability 100% religious, or 100% lay. AA teaches us how to subsist vivacity on life's terms: mentally, evidently and spiritually!

On Feb 1, 2007, I will honour 27 old age spruce and sober. This information is truly single of the essence to me and anxiously to the newcomers who despairingly guess their lives are over and done with as theyability attend their primary AA meeting!
I can candidly talk over them, "If I can do it, you can do it!"
